CG Galit Baram spoke about Israel’s energetic and innovative artists visiting Canada, as well as the self-reflective and communal work of local leaders bringing the essence of the Israeli people and the land of Israel abroad.

The evening featured the Canadian premiere of Israel’s next breakout world music sensation, Bint El Funk (Daughter of Funk). Bint El Funk’s style combines funk with traditional Jewish Yemenite music, influenced by Afro beat, jazz, Mediterranean music, psychedelic-Turkish music and more.
