There are three ways to obtain a police clearance from the
Israeli Police:
1. Israeli citizens may apply directly online with the Israeli police.
Using this option, TWO MONTHS after submitting the application
you should contact us by email (consular@toronto.mfa.gov.il) to confirm that we have received your
certificate. Once it has been confirmed that the document is in our office you
are required to e-mail the address of the office which has requested the
certificate, as well as to make a $21 payment in order for the certificate
to be forwarded to the requesting office via registered mail.
2. You may apply in person at the Consulate. You must make an
appointment on our website, complete the
appropriate form and
bring your passport for identification. Please come prepared with the address
of the office requesting a police clearance, a file number (if applicable) and
a registered mail envelope so that we will be able to forward the
certificate to the requesting office. If you do not bring a registered
mail envelope with you, you will be charged $24 for one.
3. You may also mail your application to the
Consulate. Fill in the appropriate form, writing the address of the office
requesting a police clearance at the top two lines. Please include a photocopy
of your passport and a registered mail envelope with the address of immigration
written as the addressee.
Please note:
* Ordering a police clearance from the Israeli
police is free of charge. However a payment for Apostille is required - fee of 14 CAD.
* If your police
certificate needs to be sent to Edmonton, please have your UCI number ready as
they will not accept applications without one.
*requesting a police
clearance may take up to 4 months and the consulate has no means of expediting
this process.
