The Provincial Affairs Department of the Consulate General of Israel acts as a liaison for all regions under our jurisdiction outside Toronto. As the central point of contact, we help to organize visits and events; streamline information and news; and maintain a regional database.
Though our office is located in Toronto, the Consulate’s constituency includes all points west (that is, the Western Provinces, the North, and most of Ontario). Every year, our officials make regional visits to meet with local leaders and the community, attend special events, etc. Travel distances range from an hour’s drive to 3,000 km. flights.
Clearly, there are limitations on how much travelling can be done, and therefore a great deal of our communication has to be carried out by phone and email. The Provincial Affairs Department is home base for this communication.
We are always happy to add new contacts to our database, and to be informed about upcoming events and ongoing or special activities.
