    On March 5, Consul General, Galit Baram participated in a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new Sodastream manufacturing facility in Mississauga. Together with Ontario Premier Doug Ford she was pleased to celebrate the deep economic ties between Canada and Israel.

    The Consul General was also pleased to see other colleagues in attendance: Minister of Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade Todd Smith, Mississauga Mayor Bonnie Crombie, former Canadian Astronaut Dr.Roberta Bondar and Michael Levitt MP.

    SodaStream an Israel-based manufacturing company best known for their home water carbonation machines. Headquartered in Lod, Israel, the company is unique in its focus on environmentally conscious production practices (only re-usable plastic bottles). The company also takes pride in its diverse workforce bringing together Arabs and Israelis in what it calls an 'Island of Peace'.
