On November 4 , the Consulate had the great honour of bestowing the title of 'Righteous Among the Nations' upon a Dutch couple by the name of Jan and Elsje Snippe. In the presence of the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, Elizabeth Dowdeswell, elected representatives of federal and provincial parliament, members of the diplomatic corps and the community, Margaret Dejong and John Snippe of Sarnia accepted a certificate and medal from Yad Vashem on behalf of their grandparents. Thank you to all who came out to this important event. It truly was a heartwarming evening.
