The report reviews the events leading up to the military operation -
Operation Protective Edge
- and includes: details about war crimes perpetrated by Hamas and other terrorist organizations in the Gaza Strip; the conduct of the IDF forces during the operation; military and legal challenges faced by the IDF (such as fighting in a heavily populated area against a terrorist organization that used civilians as human shields); Israel’s humanitarian efforts; the story of Israel’s home front under attack; and more.
The report reveals that Israeli actions are in accordance with international law and that Israel conducts investigations into specific incidents at its own initiative.
