    On March 14, the Consulate General of Israel partnered with Consulate General of Japan in Toronto and Congregation Darchei Noam. Together we launched an exhibition ”Beyond Duty” which features diplomats who have been recognized as Righteous Among the Nations. This is one of Israel's highest honours and recognizes non-Jews who rescued Jews during the Holocaust.

    Israeli Consul General, Galit Baram and Japanese Consul General, Takako Ito, brought greetings on behalf of their respective countries to our opening reception and screening of the film "Persona Non Grata". The movie follows the story of Japanese Consul, Chiune Sugihara, who saved 6,000 Jews during World War Two.
