    On Tuesday, May 3, the Israeli Consulate hosted a reception for Chicagoland Pro-Israel Student Advocates. The event had 24 attendees with students from Moody Bible College, Illinois Institute of Technology, DePaul University, Northwestern University, University of Chicago, and Marquette University in Milwaukee. Campus professionals from StandWithUs, JStreetU, University of Chicago and Moody Bible were also present.
     
    The goal of the event was to thank student leaders for their hard work advocating for Israel on campus this year and to provide an opportunity for students to share ideas with and learn from the Consul General and their fellow students in the Chicagoland area. The Consul General opened the event by providing his perspective on “How to Face the Challenge of BDS.”  Stacy Rudd, Director of Academic Affairs, then moderated a discussion about the attendees experiences on campus this year.  The event was extremely successful and provided a great forum for students to talk about their experiences both positive and negative on campus and ideas for next year.
