Every year, Christians join in unity and love in a nation-wide gathering in support of and blessing the Jewish State, Israel. On April 29th, many churches and organizations gathered from all over New Zealand for this successful and wonderful event.
The event had special significance this year as it was held in honor of the 70th Anniversary of the reestablishment of the State of Israel.
This year, we were honoured to send Ambassador Dr Itzhak Gerberg to the gathering in Auckland and Deputy Chief of Mission Kasa Bainesay-Harbor to the gathering in Wellington. “It was an uplifting event. It is encouraging to see the love and support from our Christian brothers and sisters. We appreciate that very much and do not take this for granted,” remarked Kasa Bainesay-Harbor at the event.
New Zealanders sounded shofars, putatara and conch – and prayed and declared God's lordship over Jersualem, consecrating our nation and ourselves to Him in unison.
The centrepiece event in Auckland was streamed live online around the world.
