Yael Holan serves as the Deputy Chief of Mission, Consul and Head of Administration at the Embassy of Israel in Wellington, New Zealand. 

Background: Yael Holan is a graduate of Tel Aviv University, and holds a Master's degree in Public Policy in Education. Prior to her role as a diplomat, she was a teaching associate of two senior professors in the Faculty of Education at Tel Aviv University - Professor Yizhar Oplatka and Professor Dan Gibton. Previously, she was an educator and coordinator of teaching Hebrew in a youth village where immigrant students from different countries around the world were educated. Yael organized an educational volunteer delegation to Tanzania (2020) and volunteered at Green Course - a grassroots organization which works to influence elected decision makers in Israel to create public sustainable environmental and social policy (2020-2021). Following diplomatic cadet course (2021-2022) she worked as trainee in the Israeli MFA Middle East department.
