​H.E. Ambassador Ran Yaakoby and his family were officially welcomed at Te Tii Marae in a historic Powhiri, where they planted an olive tree and kauri tree in a special ceremony symbolizing the strong friendship shared between the people of Ngāpuhi and Israel.

The Embassy of Israel in New Zealand would like to sincerely thank Kaumatua Pat Ruka and Janice Epiha, together with all those involved for their incredible hospitality and for making this such a special event.
