    ​We had a great day with you all at Hanukkah in the park 2019! Though it was off to a windy start, which made it all the more adventurous, it turned out to be a stunner of a day. We had almost 500 people come along throughout the event to celebrate the spirit of Hanukkah and enjoy the delicious Kosher foods, havana coffee works coffee cart ran by the lovely Carmel, a phenomenal bubble show which kept both young and old entertained, as well as face painting, beautiful songs sang by the Wellington Jewish Community Centre's Orot Children’s Group, a world class performance by Klezmer musicians The Kugels, Story Time with Mona, kids games including a Dreidel competition, Zumba with Deb, Israeli Dancing, and more! Thanks to everyone who came along and a special thanks to our co-sponsors the Wellington Jewish Community Centre and Temple Sinai, as well as the Holocaust Centre of New Zealand and the whole Jewish community, Rabbi Ariel Tal, Ambassador Dr. Itzhak Gerberg, His Worship Mayor Andy Foster, Hon Alfred Ngaro MP, the Honourable Chris Finlayson, Pastor Nigel Woodley, Joanna Moss, Matthew Smith and Marlene Levine and Mona Williams for participating in the event, along with our fantastic MC Josh Brown, all of our incredible food vendors, entertainment and volunteers for coming along to make the day memorable!
