Israel
fully withdrew from the Gaza Strip in 2005. Since 2007, Hamas has been ruling the
Gaza Strip and is exploiting them for useless acts of violence against Israel
in order to divert their attention from its own failures.
Hamas and
its accomplices continuously attempt to carry out terrorist attacks from the Gaza
Strip into Israel. They send thousands of Gazans to carry out a violent mass crossing
of the fence and terrorist cells to infiltrate into Israel under the cover of civilian
human shields. They launch rockets and mortars aimed at Israeli civilians as
well as shooting attacks, digging attack tunnels, hurling Molotov cocktails and
kite bombs to provoke destructive fires inside Israel. Since the inception of their
use of agricultural terrorism, these terror kites have sparked more than 270
fires of which approximately 6,200 acres of forests have burned from green to
brown.
Hamas and
its accomplices carry out the activity with encouragement and funding from Iran
and the Iranian Regime is behind the violent activity called “Jerusalem Day,”
planned by Hamas (Friday 8 June).
Make no
mistake, the State of Israel goes to greater lengths than any other country to
improve the humanitarian situation in Gaza, and continues to seek a lasting
solution. Every day, hundreds of tons of goods are transferred from Israel to
the Gaza Strip. Hamas is solely responsible for the deterioration of the economic
situation in the Gaza Strip, as it diverts the funds intended to aid the population
and develop its infrastructure to its terrorist operations. The PA’s decision
to hold money transfers to the Gaza Strip adds to its dire economic outlook.
The history
of Hamas and its total responsibility for terrorism emanating from the Gaza
Strip.
Hamas has a
long and bloody history of deliberately targeting Israeli civilians. It carried
out hundreds of suicide bombings and shooting, stabbing and ramming attacks
that killed and wounded thousands of people. Since the Israeli disengagement
from the Gaza Strip in 2005, Hamas has terrorized Israel by shooting more than
11,000 rockets and mortar bombs at Israeli towns. In the recent weeks, it is
also trying to carry out terror attacks with the use of kite firebombs. In
recent weeks, the spate of agricultural terrorism has seen more than 600 terror
kites launched into Israel and thousands of acres of nature reserves and crop
fields have already been burned down; hundreds of fires have broken out in
forests, orchards, groves, pastures and more.
