During his time in Samoa, H.E. Ambassador Ran Yaakoby was honoured
to meet with Hon. Fiamē Naomi Mataʻafa, Prime Minister of Samoa and Minister of
Foreign Affairs and Trade, as well as Ministers of Communication and
Information Technology, Health, and Women, Community and Social Development and
other members of government.
Israel and Samoa share a
strong relationship and are committed to continuing collaboration in areas of
mutual interest such as in sustainable development, public health and climate
change. Israel is committed to sharing its knowledge with Samoa in innovation,
including in fields such as agritech, medtech, foodsecurity, watermanagement,
education, green energy
and cyber technology.
“We look forward to enjoying even closer ties with Samoa following
the visa waiver agreement entering into force on July 6 2023. We would like to
thank the Samoan Government and the people of Samoa for their warm welcome and
for a highly successful visit. We look forward to continuing to work closely
