    Ran spent most of his life in Kibbutz Mashabie Sade in the Negev Desert. Later, he served as a tank platoon commander in the Israeli Defence Forces (IDF). After his army duty, he went to Ben Gurion University and recieved a B.A. in Psychology/Behavioral Sciences all while working as a Program Manager for the Ramat Hanegev Regional Council Partnership Department, the regional municipality of the Negev.

    As a Program Manager, Ran was a founding member of an executive board with the mission of building and shaping multi-cultural exchange communities between young adults from Israel, Colorado, and Nevada. He has led multiple educational programs that facilitated the exchange of entreprenurial and innovative ideas between communities.

    Later, he worked as a Jewish Agency Israel Fellow (shaliach) to North Carolina Hillel. While there, he built cross-cultural communities throughout the local university campuses, and developed Israel engagement programs. He has facilitated many seminars, workshops, and educational delegations with huge success.

    Besides being an integral part of the Consulate, Ran can speak about entrepreneurship through socialism found in the kibbutz movemement, the Gaza conflict through the eyes of an Israeli soldier, the psychology of IDF leadership, and Israeli innovation.
