Israeli citizens can use this service to get notary services and consular authorizations at Israeli missions around the world.

Process time is approximately 5 business days, with an additional 1/2 Days FedEx delivery for shipment. There are two options for notarization. Please read both options carefully before choosing.

SIGN DOCUMENT(S) IN FRONT OF A LOCAL NOTARY PUBLIC

In most (but not all) cases, you may be able to have documents notarized by a Local Notary Public.

    Please note:

It is your responsibility to verify with the relevant authority in Israel that signing the document in front of a Local Notary Public (instead of the Consul) is acceptable. In most cases it does!

Documents signed in front of a Local Notary Public must be stamped with an Apostille stamp. An apostille stamp can only be obtained from the Secretary of State of the state or country from which the notary obtained his/her license.

SIGN DOCUMENT(S) IN FRONT OF THE CONSUL

The Consulate can authenticate signatures on the power of attorney, declaration, and affidavit matters.

The processing time is approximately 5 business days (not including shipment). In urgent matters please see option A – sign document(s) in front of a local notary public. The consulate will not provide documents faster than 5 business days.

    IMPORTANT:

If you need to sign documents in Hebrew and you cannot read Hebrew, please contact a certified translator.
Contact us for additional question before arriving to the consulate.

    Please note:

    ·         You must visit the consulate in person.

    ·         The consulate cannot accept notary applications sent via mail

    ·         It is your responsibility to supply the documents you need to be signed (Power of attorney, etc.).

    ·         Please provide a valid government-issued photo ID specified on the document(s) you would like to have notarized. expired ID or passport is not acceptable.

If you are an Israeli citizen, an Israeli passport is required

    ·         Do not sign your document before coming to the Consulate.
The document has to be signed in front of the Consul.

    ·         All documents must be available in English or Hebrew for the consular representative. The Consulate does not provide translation services.

    ·          If you have a document in a language besides English or Hebrew, you must have it translated.

    ·          If you are not fluent in English or Hebrew, the document also needs to be translated into a language that you are fluent in.

    ·         Affidavit from a translator is required. The affidavit must be in English or Hebrew and contain:

v  Translator’s full name and address

v  Declaration by the translator stating that he/she is the person who translated the document(s), is fluent in both languages and adheres to the truth under penalty of perjury.

v  If the document was translated outside of Israel: The aforementioned translator's affidavit must be signed by the translator in front of the Consul. Meaning, the translator, either certified or not, has to submit his/her affidavit in person at the consulate. If the translator is a local notary, he/she can stamp their affidavit with an Apostille stamp instead of submitting it in person at the consulate. Ask your local notary/ translator to stamp his/her affidavit with Apostille. This requirement does not apply if the document was translated in Israel by a qualified notary.
