The Embassy develops a Travelling Library

    ​The Embassy of Israel in South Africa is thrilled to introduce a project we have been working on for the past few months together with the Jewish Agency - “Traveling Library” is an initiative aimed to promote Israeli literature and Hebrew language reading skills among the Jewish and Israeli communities in South Africa. The aim of the project is to reintroduce the culture of reading into society as well as improving knowledge in Hebrew literature.

     

    Hundreds of Israeli books will be waiting for you divided between the Consular waiting room inside the Embassy of Israel in Pretoria and the Jewish agency office is Johannesburg, with more location in Cape Town coming soon. All you need to do is just collect, read and return.

    If you want to be part of the project, you can do so by giving us any Hebrew books that you do not need to be added to our travelling library collection. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact us.​
