Important Travel Information: Most countries in the world and their police services will report daily to Interpol if you have lost your passport or if your passport was stolen. These reports are automatically added to the database of every international border crossing in the world.
In a case where an Israeli citizen has reported his passport as lost or stolen to Israeli or local police that passport has been reported to international Interpol and is in the lost passport database. If later found- this passport cannot be used in future and will incur delays in many border crossings around the world.
