    Nava Feseha Getahun is the Head of the Economic Mission of the State of Israel to South Africa. The Economic Mission to South Africa, based in Johannesburg, is part of the Foreign Trade Administration at the Ministry of Economy and Industry. It aims to promote Israeli exports and attract foreign investments to Israel. Nava holds a B.A. in Government and M.A. in Security Studies from the Reichman University.

    At the Foreign Trade Administration, Nava worked in the Asia-Pacific department and took part in Israel’s international trade activities between Israel and Australia, Japan, Vietnam, Taiwan, Singapore, South Korea, the Philippines, and Thailand.
    In this role, Nava coordinated bilateral discussions and trade agreements, organized seminars and exhibitions, and planned events for the Israeli industry. Nava has extensive experience in government relations, and her professional background includes work at the United States Congress in the office of Representative Ted Deutch. As an Israeli, Nava utilized her knowledge and experiences and provided the legislative staff advice on related
    policies and legislation.

    The experience she gained during this period allowed Nava to become knowledgeable in the fields of security and diplomacy which eventually led her to the International Institute for Counter-Terrorism. As a Researcher and Internship Director, Nava had the responsibility of developing and implementing an internship program for 200 students every year. Additionally, Nava was engaged in research projects and collaborates with relevant clients and stakeholders in Israel and abroad.​
