COVID-19 TRAVEL INFORMATION
IMPORTANT NOTICE RELATING TO COVID -19
1) Starting from 09/03/2020 all Israel citizens returning to Israel from anywhere abroad must enter a 14 day home quarantine immediately upon their return.
2) A. Starting from Thursday 12/03/2020, foreign nationals arriving to an international border crossing will be permitted entry to Israel, provided that they can demonstrate their ability to enter a 14 day home quarantine in Israel.Home quarantine should be at a relative, friend's house or their own home. This excludes hotels and other facilities.
B. If you intend on going into home quarantine you must declare the
location of your home quarantine via the following channels:
• An email will need to be sent to
consul@pretoria.mfa.gov.il five working days prior to the planned date of arrival.
You will not be granted entry without a letter of approval that will be sent by the consular department. The final decision will be made by border control.
The e-mail should have a copy of your passport and the following declaration: Please download this form Upon completion of these steps, and only after approval of all relevant parties, a confirmation letter will be sent to the visitor/s, confirming boarding of their flight to Israel.
3) Tourists currently located within Israel should pay attention to the following:
• If they develop any symptoms, they must immediately call Magen David Adom (Israel's national medical emergency services).

• Take care to maintain good hygiene practices.
• Avoid large crowds.
• Note that it will not be possible to exit to neighboring countries and then return to Israel.
• Document the course of their travels in Israel.
We would like to emphasize that in any case of doubt, the decision whether or not to permit entry into Israel of the visitor lies with the Border Control official and with the Population and Immigration Authority, according to their opinion regarding the reliability of the visitor’s declaration and paperwork submitted in each individual case.
