Embassy joins project to feed 1M children in SA

    The Academy of Jewish Thought & Learning
    and the Thirst for Hope organization, which aims to feed one million hungry children in South Africa. The project is based on recycling sustainable products such as old car tires for growing edible vegetables through Israeli innovation and technology.
    High School learners were assigned a tire and learned about the process of planting and caring for the vegetable garden and thus learned about Israeli innovation.This project has reached 260 students from disadvantaged backgrounds who will be able to benefit from their vegetable gardens that will feed their families as well as their communities.
