A Strong Hamas poses a threat not only to Israel

  •   A Strong Hamas poses a threat not only to Israel but also to regional stability and to anyone who seeks peace in the Middle-East

Last night a mutual, pre-conditional ceasefire between Israel and Hamas terror organization has taken place. This ceasefire came into effect after 11 days and over 4,400 rocks have been brutally fired into Israel by terrorist organization Hamas, killing and injuring innocent civilians – children, women, and men, both Israeli and Palestinians. Hamas has fired intentionally in order to harm civilians – targeting Israeli civilians while hiding behind Gazan civilians using them as a human shield. Israel, on the other hand, do all it can to reduce the harm to innocent civilians to a minimum.

Hamas is a murderous terrorist organization that situates its facilities in the heart of the civilian population. It has instigated the current escalation in an attempt to seize control of the Palestinian agenda and to weaken and replace the Palestinian Authority.

A Strong Hamas poses a threat not only to Israel but also to regional stability and to anyone who seeks peace in the Middle-East.

During the past 11 days the State of Israel hit the terrorist organizations in the Gaza Strip very hard and struck and made significant achievements in the operation, some of them unprecedented: Hundreds of targets were destroyed, including the "Metro"—a system of underground tunnels surrounding Gaza that housed terrorist infrastructure and weapons manufacturing capabilities. Houses of senior Hamas officials in which they were hiding, which served as terrorist infrastructure, were attacked. Many additional terrorist actions were thwarted.

The reality on the ground will determine the continuation of the campaign, yet Israel emphasizes that it will not tolerate rocket barrages being fired at its territory, its cities, and its citizens, and certainly not it's capital city. Every country has the right to defend its sovereignty and its citizens.
