Preserving Israeli Identity in a Foreign Land
    "Zehut Israeli b'Eretz Nechar"

How will we care for the next generation of Israeli children being raised in Los Angeles? What can be done to help preserve both their Israeli-ness and their Jewish-ness? Join us as Rabbi Lau discusses strategies for maintaining an Israeli identity 7500 miles from Dizengoff.

Rabbi Dr. Benny Lau is one of the best known and most charismatic figures in Israeli society today, popular among observant and non-observant Israelis alike. He is Senior Rabbi of the Ramban Synagogue in Jerusalem, one of Israel's most progressive modern Orthodox institutions and also hosts a weekly television series. An outspoken advocate for modernizing the Israeli rabbinate, Rabbi Lau has been a pioneer in encouraging progress in many areas of Jewish life, including women's participation, marriage and conversion.
