The Israeli missions abroad provide Israeli citizens and/or Israeli residents staying abroad with some of the services required by the provisions of the Population Registration Law, 5725 - 1965, and The Names Law, 5716 -1956.

To request a document,
please follow these steps:

3. Attach all necessary documents:

Certificates are issued by the authorities located in Israel and sent by mail. Total time for processing the application may take 12 to 16 weeks!
Who can you request the certificate for?
A bilingual birth certificate - You can apply on your own behalf or on behalf of your children under 18 years old or First degree relative.
A death certificate - First-degree relatives of the deceased
An Israel population registry extract An Israel population registry extract - You can apply on your own behalf or on behalf of your children under 18 years old or First degree relative.
For first degree relatives: please also attach power of attorney with his passport.
Request for information on a traveler- You can apply on your own behalf or on behalf of your children under 18 years old - not for a Husband or wife.
Service fee
The service is free of charge unless an apostille is required
We recommend adding an Apostille stamp on the document (10$ fee)
The document will be sent to you by certificate mail.

Important notes:
1. Marriage certificates cannot be ordered. Please refer to Section 3 below.
2. Only the birth certificate is issued bilingually (Hebrew/English).
3. The Population Registry extract will include the following information:
- ID number.
- Full name.
- Parents’ names.
- Date and place of birth.
- Date of immigration to Israel.
- Citizenship.
- Marital status.
- Address.
- Previous names.
- Children’s names and other information regarding spouses and parents.
- Previous addresses.
- Date of marriage, divorce, widowhood.
- Religion and ethnicity.
