     How will we care for the next generation of Israeli children being raised in Los Angeles? What can be done to help preserve both their Israeli-ness and their Jewish-ness? Join us as Rabbi Lau discusses strategies for maintaining an Israeli identity 7500 miles from Dizengoff.
    Rabbi Dr. Benny Lau is one of the best known and most charismatic figures in Israeli society today, popular among observant and non-observant Israelis alike. He is Senior Rabbi of the Ramban Synagogue in Jerusalem, one of Israel's most progressive modern Orthodox institutions and also hosts a weekly television series. An outspoken advocate for modernizing the Israeli rabbinate, Rabbi Lau has been a pioneer in encouraging progress in many areas of Jewish life, including women's participation, marriage and conversion.

She is Israel's leading international singer/songwriter, having shared the stage with superstars such as Sting, Pat Metheny, Quincy Jones , Stevie Wonder, Andrea Bocelli and many more, and is Israel's first Good Will Ambassador for FAO, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the UN. She was also given the honorary title of Cavalliera de la Republica Italiana by Italy's former President Napolitano, and is the recipient of the Chrystal Award of the World Economic Forum, where she was also chosen a Global Leader of Tomorrow.
    Together with her longstanding collaborator Gil Dor, she has released over 15 albums which have sold millions the world over. Noa was the first Jew to perform in the Vatican 20 years ago and has done so many times since. She wrote lyrics to and recorded the hugely successful theme song for the Academy Award winning film "La Vita e Bella". Noa sings in six languages, has collaborated with Symphony Orchestras around the world, and performed in the world's most prestigious venues, including the White House. Beyond her passionate commitment to music, Noa dedicates much of her time to promoting peace and dialogue between Israel and Palestine and to various social issues, volunteering extensively for organizations in these fields.
