Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, today (Tuesday, 1 June 2021), at the Prime Minister's Office in Jerusalem, met with US Senator (R-TX) Ted Cruz and US Senator (R-TN) Bill Hagerty. The Prime Minister thanked the senators for coming to Israel and said that he was always glad to see two of the State of Israel's best friends.
Senator Cruz at the start of the meeting:
"It's good to be with my good friend, the Prime Minister, and it's important that we're here now to state unequivocally that the United States stands with Israel. These are perilous times but Israel not only has a right but a responsibility to defend itself."
Senator Hagerty said that they had come to show their unwavering support for Israel.
