The European Parliament Department is responsible for developing and maintaining relations between Israel and the European Parliament.
The department facilitates dialogue between Israeli officials and Members of the European Parliament, promoting cooperation on a range of issues concerning EU-Israel relations and the Middle-East region.
The Parliament Department is also committed to improving mutual perception between parliamentarians, i.e. by organising/attending information seminaries, presentations and other events, preparing and distributing publications/factsheets/web postings.
A special emphasis is dedicated to strengthening the inter-parliamentary dimension between the Knesset (Israeli Parliament) and the European Parliament.
This includes reciprocal visits of MKs in Brussels and MEPs in Israel and briefings at the parliament on topics of political interest.
