    Prime Minister Yair Lapid, today, at the Prime Minister's Office in Jerusalem, met with local authority heads from the area adjacent to the Gaza Strip, as part of a wider meeting chaired by PMO Director General Naama Schultz.
     
    The meeting dealt with advancing the government decision to strengthen civilian resilience in Sderot and the other communities in the area adjacent to the Gaza Strip in 2023-2024, and submit it for Cabinet approval as soon as possible.
     
    The authority heads thanked Prime Minister Lapid and PMO Director General Schultz for closely monitoring the process, the assistance and their constant availability during and after Operation Breaking Dawn, as well as for the government decision that was passed immediately following the operation.
     
    Sderot Mayor Alon Davidi, Sdot Negev Regional Council Chairman Tamir Idan, Sha'ar Hanegev Regional Council Chairman Ofir Leibstein, Eshkol Regional Council Chairman Gadi Yarkoni and Hof Ashkelon Regional Council Director General Doron Ben-Shlomi attended the meeting.
