PM Bennett returns from diplomatic visit to Egypt

    Prime Minister Naftali Bennett completed his diplomatic visit to Egypt today (22 March 2022), after meeting with the leaders of Egypt and the United Arab Emirates. He was accompanied to the airport by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi. 

    During the visit, which began yesterday (Monday) the Prime Minister was in the city of Sharm el-Sheikh and met today (Tuesday) with the President of Egypt, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and with the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
     
    Against the backdrop of the recent developments in the world and the region, the leaders discussed the ties between the three countries and ways to strengthen them on all levels.
     
    This is Prime Minister Bennett's second visit to Egypt. His first official visit to Egypt took place in September last year.
