    Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, this morning (Wednesday, 15 March 2017), in Jerusalem, met with Italian Foreign Minister Angelino Alfano. The two expressed their deep appreciation for the state of bilateral relations and stressed their intention to expand cooperation between the two countries. They discussed the possibility of widening bilateral economic cooperation in Africa in order to assist African countries in finding solutions to water, agricultural and other problems.
     
    Prime Minister Netanyahu said that the Palestinians must stop the incitement against Israel. He pointed out the absurdity of the recent UNESCO decision and asked Italy to oppose the next vote at the organization.
     
    Italian Foreign Minister Alfano emphasized his obligation to defend the Italian Jewish community against incidents of anti-Semitism.
