    The two ministers held a comprehensive working meeting with senior MFA officials, during which they discussed strengthening bilateral ties between the countries, aid, regional issues, and the war in Ukraine.

    Minister of Foreign Affairs Yair Lapid today (Monday, May 9, 2022) hosted the Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister of Kosovo, Donika Gërvalla-Schwartz, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Jerusalem.
    The two ministers held a comprehensive working meeting with senior MFA officials, during which they discussed strengthening bilateral ties between the countries, aid, regional issues, and the war in Ukraine.
    At the end of the meeting, the Foreign Ministers signed two agreements in the fields of culture, education, and science, as well as a co-production agreement for films and a framework agreement for cooperation between the countries on a wide range of topics.
    This is the first visit of Foreign Minister Gërvalla-Schwartz to Israel and the highest-level visit by Kosovo to Israel since the opening of the Kosovan Embassy in Jerusalem approximately one year ago.
