Europe understands today more than ever that Iran has become a global threat.
I told the foreign ministers of the Slavkov Summit: Until recently, the Gulf nations, Saudi Arabia and Israel were in the Iranian crosshairs. Today it is Ukraine. Tomorrow it may be you.
If we don't act together today, it will be too late.
I invited our allies, the Czech Republic, Austria and Slovakia, to take an active part in the Abraham Accords, and to be partners in promoting peace, stability and prosperity in the Middle East."
Minister of Foreign Affairs Eli Cohen participated today (Tuesday, 30 May 2023) in the Slavkov Summit, which includes Austria, the Czech Republic and Slovakia. This is the first time that an Israeli foreign minister has participated in this forum, in which some of Israel's closest allies in the European Union participate.
The Summit was attended by The meeting was attended by the Slovak Foreign Minister, Miroslav Wlachovský, the Austrian Foreign Minister, Alexander Schallenberg, and the Czech Foreign Minister, Jan Lipavský.
The ministers discussed strengthening relations with Israel and their countries as well as a joint fight against the Iranian threat.
In addition, the foreign ministers discussed the Abraham Accords and their effect on strengthening stability in the Middle East.
FM Cohen invited his counterparts to actively participate in the projects and forums founded as a result of the Abraham Accords.
