Ambassadors of Israel to the European Union Member States gathered in Brussels from March, 20-23, 2017 to participate in a unique biannual seminar on EU-Israel relations and EU institutions. The event was organised by the Mission of Israel to the European Union and NATO.

Israel's Ambassador to the EU and NATO, Aharon Leshno-Yaar, welcomed his colleagues: "Europe is a geographically and politically meaningful location for Israel. We have many common values, priorities and challenges." Israel and the European Union share the same values of democracy, human rights and the rule of law and stand united against hate and terrorism.

During their visits to the European institutions and NATO the ambassadors met with high level representatives from NATO, EEAS, the European Commission, the Council of the EU and the European Parliament, including H.E. Commissioner for Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs, Elżbieta Bieńkowska, H.E. Commissioner for Justice, Consumers and Gender Equality, Věra Jourová, EEAS Secretary General Helga Schmid, and EU Counter-Terrorism Coordinator Gilles de Kerchove. They were introduced to the EU perspective on a variety of issues, including on terrorism, migration, cybersecurity, Syria, Iran, Brexit as well as the wide range of bilateral cooperation. The ambassadors equally held stimulating discussions with Coreper and PSC ambassadors.
