    The much-awaited it-event of the fashion sphere took place this month in Tel Aviv. The three-day event was held in the touristic port of the fashion capital, the Namal, Tel Aviv.

     

    The 22 most popular Israeli designer showed their collections with the participation of models from all over the country.
    One of the highlights of the event was the Israeli designer Bananhot’s reveal of its new collection. Netta Barzilai, the last year’s Eurovision winner, made an impressive appearance, when she arrived on the catwalk wearing a bold yellow bathing suit.  
    In addition to being a famous singer in Israel, Neta Barzilai is a plus size icon. Seeing her boldly walk in an identical bathing suit to two other super skinny models next to her made waves in Israeli media. Netta showed off in style and with her natural and unwavering confidence. Many called her an inspiration for the new generation of women who too often are criticized and judged by the sexist cult of thinness.  
    In recent years, one can see more and more Israeli designers at the major league of world fashion.  A list world celebrities such as Beyoncé, Meghan Markle and Lady Gaga trust Israeli designers for their international appearances.
    On her latest world tour show with her husband Jay-Z, Queen B wore a nude-toned, long-train creation of tulle designed by Israeli Shahar Avnet. Earlier in the tour, the queen of pop played a video from their wedding renewal ceremony, the bride’s gown was designed by Galia Lahav, who creates haute couture bridal clothing in Tel Aviv.
    The designer Shahar Avnet, born in the northern Israel, launched her first collection in 2017 and already has a five star ambassador, she is also the designer of the multicolor kimono worn by the iconic Netta Barzilai in the Eurovision contest
    The Israeli designer Inbal Dror, was asked, by the British Royal court, to submit sketches  for a wedding dress for Megan Merkel . The Israeli designer, who previously dressed Beyoncé for the Grammys in 2016 and Naomi Watts, is known for sultry, show-stopping styles.
    Alon Livne, the Israeli designer, trained by Alexander McQueen in London, has managed to achieve recognition from many of America's A-list celebrities such as Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, Niki Minaj, Jennifer Lopez, Naomi Campbell and many others.
    Israeli designers say that their innovative work is inspired by the country’s topography and that it shares the beauty of Israel with the rest of the world.  See you in the Tel Aviv fashion week next year!
