    June 01

    The Mission of Israel to the EU and NATO & The Embassy of Israel in Belgium & Luxembourg organized Israel’s 75th Independence Day Reception in the presence of Roberta Metsola, President of the European Parliament, Idit Rosenzweig-Abu, Israel’s Ambassador to Belgium and Luxembourg and Haim Regev, Ambassador of Israel to the EU and NATO. The reception was celebrated with 700 guests and a music and light show of the Israeli band Jaman, who made sure everyone was dancing!

     

    June 06

    The co-founder of PLANETech, a company dedicated to fostering #innovation in climate change technologies, PLANETech share knowledge and discover opportunities, collaborate with global stakeholders and use technologies to solve real challenges. Shani Zanescu presented her insights on the Israeli ecosystem and solutions to tackle the environment crisis to our partners in the EU and NATO.

     

    June 07

    The Women Political Leaders Summit 2023 took place in Brussels at the European parliament. This summit is organized with the aim to increase the number and the influence of women in political leadership positions. MK Etty Hava Atia and MK Efrat Rayten, participated in the summit as the representatives of the Israeli Knesset.

     

    June 12

    EU-Israel Horizon Europe research and Innovation committee met for the second time. Horizon Europe is the flagship program of EU-Israel relations. Innovation & research remain key components of EUIsrael relations. Israel’s participation in Horizon Europe is one of the best examples of our strong partnership and our mutual effort to achieve scientific breakthroughs to the benefit of all

     

    June 12-13

    Vice-President Margaritis Schinas travelled to Israel to discuss cooperation on education, innovation and our joint efforts to combat antisemitism. The 14th EU – Israel high-level seminar on combating racismxenophobia and antisemitism took place today in Jerusalem. VP Margaritis Schinas FM Eli Cohen honored the seminar with their presence, reflecting the importance of the fight against antisemitism & other forms of hatred. Israel & the EU remain firmly committed to this end. The seminar brought together Israeli & European authorities and experts to discuss best practices and measures to combat antisemitism. This year, the seminar focused on antisemitism in the digital sphere.

    The Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant travelled to Brussels to promote EU-Israel cooperation and discuss regional challenges and opportunities.​
