    After a few days of endless rocket alert sirens, and many wounded people, the residents of the Southern communities still aspire to a better life for them and for the people of Gaza.

    Maayan Hendler is a young Israeli mother of three. Living in Kissufim, a community adjacent to the Gaza Strip she recounted her experience of the rocket alert sirens that sounded in southern Israeli communities in Mid-November.
    She explains she was out with her youngest child, when the siren sounded. She ran to her house, joined her two older ones and her husband. They were lucky and managed to reach the shelter on time. After all, having emotionally recovered, she hopes that both sides will be able to live in peace and quiet.     Gilil Nachum, Israeli resident from Mivtahim, a community located 7 km from the Gaza strip, narrated his fears and the real ordeal he underwent when hundreds of rockets were fired from Gaza.
    Interviewed in the in the middle of his farm, he insisted on the fact that fifteen seconds is the time he has to reach to the closest bomb shelter. Despite this tense situation and the victims in his communities, he said the future looks bright, he still has hope that Israelis and Palestinians can work together and live peacefully alongside one another.     Maayan and Galil represent only a small portion of all the victims located in communities near the Gaza strip. There are numerous testimonials on social media detailing how Israelis handled the rain of rockets falling on the country.
