Study in Israel - Latino Scholarship

    The Consulate General of Israel to the Pacific Northwest has an exciting study abroad scholarship opportunity for UC Berkeley students of Latino or Caribbean descent to study in Israel for a semester in 2017.
     
    General scholarship information:
     
    The Government of Israel will be providing four scholarships for students of Latino and Caribbean descent or heritage to study in Israel in the spring or fall of 2017. These scholarships will be awarded to full-time undergraduate and graduate students in any academic field in good academic standing, based on the existing programs UC Berkeley holds with Israeli universities.     Eligible students will receive up to $5000 to use toward the cost of studying abroad. Scholarships will be awarded for programs lasting for the semester. This scholarship is designed to establish cross-cultural bridges between Israelis and young Latinos.     Eligibility:

    Undergraduates or graduate students who fulfill the following criteria are eligible for this scholarship:
    • U.S. citizens or permanent residents
    • Of Latino or Caribbean descent or heritage
    • Enrolled full-time at UC Berkeley and in good academic standing
