​Chairman Weng first welcomed the Consul's Delegation. She briefly introduced the functions, structure and development history of the Shanghai Women's Federation. Chairman Weng said that the Shanghai Women’s Federation had always been in a leading position in the evaluation and assessment of the work of the China Women’s Federation. The Shanghai Women's Federation spent huge energy and money in medical treatment and education to effectively implement various national policies on women and children.

Ms. Limor Ganon thanked Chairman's invitation. She said that she had served as Israeli Consul in Shanghai and Guangzhou for nearly 6 years. She loved Chinese culture and especially appreciated the independence and characters of Shanghai women (this is very similar to Israeli women). She hoped that she could serve as a bridge between Chinese and Israeli cultures and let more Chinese people understand Israel. In addition, she hoped that the Israeli Consulate General in Shanghai and the Shanghai Women’s Federation could co-organize cultural activities such as the "China-Israel Outstanding Women's afternoon Tea".

Chairman Weng showed keen interest in the topic of afternoon Tea Event. She said that the Shanghai Women's Federation had many different branches. For example: Association of Women Entrepreneurs, Association of Women Physicians, Association of Women Lawyers, Association of Women Journalists, etc. These associations were suitable for cooperating with the consulate. She hoped that both parties could find a suitable topic as soon as possible to made the afernoon Tea event happen.​
