Entry and Exit from Israel

    As of May 3, 2001, * Israeli citizens and residents (including vaccinated and recovering) * who will enter Israel from the following countries: * Ukraine, Ethiopia, Brazil, South Africa, India, Mexico and Turkey *, will be obligated to undergo home isolation for 10 days and be subjected to two negative PCR tests (test Upon landing / entry into Israel and further inspection on day No. 9 for isolation), or alternatively, will be charged for home isolation for 14 days subject to one PCR examination (upon landing / entry into Israel, which is mandatory for all those entering Israel).

    * Departure from Israel *
    • As of May 3, 2001, * Israeli citizens and residents will be prohibited from leaving *, with the exceptions, to the countries: * Ukraine, Ethiopia, Brazil, South Africa, India, Mexico and Turkey *. The ban on departure to these countries will not apply to anyone who operates a connection flight through these countries, if the duration of the stay is less than 12 hours in the airport area only.
     
    • The following may submit an application to the Exceptions Committee, for the purpose of obtaining an exit permit to the above countries, are:
    - going out for a humanitarian or essential need.
    Athletes (with the approval of the Director General of the Ministry of Culture and Sports).
    Official emissaries of national institutions (with the approval of the Ministry of Immigration and Absorption).

    • * Israeli citizens and residents * returning to their permanent residence in these countries are required to declare this before the Exceptions Committee and attach supporting documents.
     
    * * Air crews, Israeli emissaries * (approved by the Director General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Director General of the Ministry of Defense or the Director General of the Prime Minister's Office), * Foreign representatives and foreign nationals * are not required to obtain an exit permit from Israel.
     
    • It will be recalled that it is the responsibility of every passenger * (Israeli or foreign) * to present, prior to boarding an aircraft departing from Israel, for each destination, a recovery certificate * or * vaccination certificate * or * negative PCR test, performed at most 72 hours before departure from Israel.
