    ​Requirements for minors applying for a visa
    ​Except for the above requirements on different visa types, when applying Visa for children under 18, applicants need to provide:

    a. Authenticated Notary on Parents’ Marriage Certificate

    b. Authenticated Notary on Birth Certificate

    c. Parental consent Form- Parents must sign this form in front of the Notary or at the Consulate (an example can be referred to here)

    d. Notary on Parents’ ID

    e. Entrust Letter (if neither of the parent go with the child)

    *Divorced parents should provide:

    a. Authenticated Notary on Divorce Certificate

    b. Authenticated Notary on Guardianship and Custody Document (if exist).

     

    Notes:

    * If parents choose to come to the Consulate to sign the Agreement form, applicants still need to provide all material above except for the Notarization and Authentication of Agreement Form and Parents ID.

    * All the Notarization Documents should be in both Chinese and English.  Please prepare both copies and originals and embassy will send back the original documents.​


    ​* For Authentication, applicants should go to Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, do not need Authentication from the Consulate
