The event was chaired by Mr. Xu Junjie, Director of the Political and Economic Department of Israeli Consulate General in Shanghai. Ms. Limor Ganon, the Consul of the Israeli Consulate General in Shanghai, planted seeds with distinguished guests and donators.

Ms. Limor Ganon said emotionally at the beginning of the event, "Israel and China are the best friends. Thank you for your generous help to us during the Corona Virus epidemic. We hold this event in front of the White Horse Cafe of the Jewish Refugee Museum on purpose. During the Second World War, Chinese people living in Hongkou District helped our Jewish compatriots through difficulties and let them find another home in Shanghai. I sincerely hope that the friendship between China and Israel will last forever! Here, I want to thank my good friend, Mr.Peng Xiangmo. With his help, we received so many medical supplies in such a short time.

Then Mr. Peng Xiangmo, the manager of Israel plan, made a short speech, "Thank you very much for the Consulate to hold this event. At the end of March this year, with outbreak of the Corona Virus in Israel, it is hard to transport medical supplies to Israel. With the support of the Consulate, the" Israel plan"immediately launched a donation event for Israel .The next day, we received nearly 1 million RMB donations. Chinese companies, various alumni associations, various institutions, etc. donated generously. In the process of collecting medical suppliers, I deeply felt the friendship between China and Israel. In the future, I hope that China and Israel can help each other and benefit mankind.

The Curator of the Jewish Refugee Museum, Mr. Chen Jian, also said, "The friendship between China and Israel has a long history. The Jewish Refugee Museum is the best witness of this history. It has witnessed the ups and downs of those years and the relationship between the Shanghai people and the Jewish people. Thank you again to the Israeli Consulate in Shanghai for choosing this venue today. The seeds planted here will enjoy the sunshine of China.  When the epidemic in China is serious, the Jews gather spontaneously at the Western Wall to pray for the Chinese people. At present, our Museum is being expanded, and we hope that the new Museum can better tell the friendship story between China and Israel.

Finally, Ms. Limor Ganon, the Israeli Consul in Shanghai, invited Mr. Chen Zhongwei, Chairman of Hengyuanxiang Group, and representatives from China Construction Harbour and Channel Engineering Bureau Group Co.,Ltd, Hangzhou MiJia Technology Co., Ltd., China Insurance Huaan Group, National Consulting (Hangzhou) Co., Ltd., Tel Aviv University Chinese Alumni Association, Jiangsu Shuntong Construction Co., Ltd. and Israel Chinese Chamber of Commerce jointly planted the seeds of friendship.

May the friendship between China and Israel bloom in the future.
