    On Dec 8,2020 ,Israel Day was held in Shanghai. Business leaders and analysts have shared their experience on doing business in China.

    ​The pandemic is disrupting business ties across the world, but cooperation between China and Israel is quickly getting back to normal. Tel Aviv designated China a "green country" in November, meaning Israelis no longer need to self-isolate after returning from China. Israel's consulate in Shanghai has held an event to promote ties and deepen cooperation in advanced technologies.

    At the 2020 Israel Day in Shanghai, business leaders and analysts have shared their experience on doing business in China. The theme of the day is "Israel-China Collaboration perspectives".

    EDDIE SHAPIRA , the Consul General of Israel in Shanghai said,  "Our two economies, they are very strong and they are very complementary. We need Chinese market, we need the Chinese system of industrialization and of course the Israeli technology and the Israeli technological solution might be very beneficial for Chinese economy."

    "The event is held at the China-Israel Innovation Hub. This initiative was born out of a joint paper signed by Chinese Vice President Wang Qishan and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in 2018. Today, 32 companies and projects have been launched here, including those in cutting-edge technologies, such as biomedicine, AI and robotics."

    The zone offers attractive tax polices and helps companies communicate with Chinese government agencies. It also provides office space, as well as accommodation for top talent. The Cloud Security Alliance's Greater China Region branch is among the latest to hold talks to join the zone. The non-profit organization conducts research on security technologies for high-tech industries.

    The zone would provide office space for the organization and help it connect with local firms and universities.

    The district government says it is also assisting companies by helping protect their intellectual property.

    Companies in the zone have made over 100 inquiries related to intellectual property rights over the past two months alone, filing for patents, and registering brands.
