According to statistics from Israeli Ministry of Tourism, more than 129,000 Chinese tourists have visited Israel by October 2019, with an increase of 53% compared to the same period last year.
In recent years, Israel, as an emerging niche tourist destination, has attracted more and more Chinese tourists with its mysterious and historic sceneries. In addition, the Israeli Ministry of Tourism has also proposed a number of convenient measures for Chinese tourists, including opening more direct flights, setting up visa centers, and issuing multiple-entry visas to Chinese tourists for up to ten years. This Summer, Chinese tourists could start to use wechat pay, and now Alipay and WeChat payment both can be used in Israel. Chinese signs and maps can also be seen at major tourist attractions. More Chinese-speaking guides have been found, and Chinese television channels and Chinese breakfasts are also available in many Israeli hotels.

Mr. Roy Kriezman, the Tourism Consul of the Israeli Ministry of Toursim said, "In recent years, the Israeli Ministry of Toursim has continuously increased its marketing efforts in China, and has continued to provide convenient travel options for Chinese tourists by simplifying the visa process, expanding mobile payment services, and increasing direct flights. In addition, in order to better support industry partners in the Yangtze River Delta region and serve tourism consumers in the region, we plan to open an office in Shanghai in the near future. "

What's more, the Israeli Ministry of Tourism also took the opportunity to share the results of Sino-Israel cooperation and future promotion plans. The implementation of the "Belt and Road Initiative" has added new impetus to the development of the two countries. China and Israel have closer exchanges and the two sides have developed rapidly in the areas of economy&trade, agricultural technology, high technology, culture and education. More and more Chinese tourists regard Israel as one of the best oversea destinations.
