Speaker of the California State Assembly John Pérez was effusive in his praise of Israel on Monday evening, as he marked Israel's 65th Independence Day with the presentation of an official Resolution from the Assembly recognising this day in Israel's history.

He presented the Resolution to Consul General Andy David, as both reaffirmed the strenth of the U.S.-Israel relationship.
