Consul General Shlomi Kofman was honored on this Holocaust Remembrance Day to posthumously award the title “Righteous Among Nations” to Georges & Jeanine Merveilleau. At great personal risk, the couple hid, fed, and saved Jewish families in wartime France. Their daughter Janine accepted the medal on their behalf in a special ceremony held at the Consulate today.
