    Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, today (Thursday, 1 December 2016), at the Prime Minister's Office in Jerusalem, met with Uruguayan Foreign Minister Rodolfo Nin Novoa; a customs cooperation agreement was signed at the start of the meeting.
     
    Prime Minister Netanyahu thanked Uruguayan Foreign Minister Nin Novoa for Uruguay's friendship and support for the State of Israel and its important role at the UN Security Council. The Prime Minister said that bilateral cooperation needed to be expanded in the fields of – inter alia – agriculture and technology, and commented on the renewed friendship with the countries of Latin America.
     
    Uruguayan Foreign Minister Nin Novoa expressed friendship and commitment to Israel from the 29 November 1947 UN vote and the important role played by Uruguayan Ambassador to the UN Enrique Rodríguez Fabregat until today.
