​In honor of Israel's 72nd Independence day, San Francisco City hall proudly flew Israel's flag from the balcony on the evening of April 28,2020. Whilst social distancing, Mayor Breed sent a message - Congratulating Israel on its Independence day and praising the San Francisco- Haifa city relationship. She emphasized the greatness of the bay area Jewish community, especially during the coronavirus pandemic. Later this evening, after the "Hatikvah" was sung and the flag was raised, the City hall donned brilliant blue and white lights as one last hoorah for Israel's birthday - It was spectacular!
