    Andy David, Israel's consul general for the Pacific Northwest, visited Portland on Thursday to meet with supporters as the country's army proceeded with a ground assault on the Gaza Strip.

    We caught up with David to get his perspective on the recent developments in the region.

    "A lot of people think that it's very complicated, but in fact it's very simple," He said. "We have a terrorist organization … who are firing rockets at our population, and we have to defend ourselves."
