​The Israeli Consulate to the Pacific Northwest was proud and honored to attend and participate in San Francisco Pride on June 28.  Our photo booth and lively music made us a center of the party.  Our booth showcased the Israel’s vibrant LGBT community with informational pamphlets and a big screen running footage of this year’s Tel Aviv Pride Parade, which occurred one week prior. 

Many Pride attendees stopped by to show support, tell us about their experiences in Israel, their desire to go, or just to learn more about Israel’s LGBT community.  Some had come across Israel’s Liberal and Progressive values for the first time – and almost immediately felt a connection. We were proud to share facts such as that Tel Aviv is one of the most popular centers for LGBT acceptance and celebration in the world. 

We had a lot of fun at Pride and are thankful to have had the opportunity to show people Israel’s parallel celebration and to have gotten such a positive response. THANK YOU!
