    Israel’s National Anti-Trafficking Coordinator Meirav Shmueli spoke today on a panel with Mexican Consul General Andres Roemer Slomianski and German Consul General Stefan Schlueter at the San Francisco JCC entitled, “The Global Fight Against Human Trafficking: International and Comparative Perspectives.”

    Israel’s National Anti-Trafficking Coordinator Meirav Shmueli spoke today on a panel with Mexican Consul General Andres Roemer Slomianski and German Consul General Stefan Schlueter at the San Francisco JCC entitled, “The Global Fight Against Human Trafficking: International and Comparative Perspectives.” Dr. Shmueli shared the Israeli experience on battling human trafficking for prostitution and the successful coordination by the Israeli government to almost eradicate this phenomenon in Israel.  The event was moderated by Marianna Warmee, Federal Administration Judge for Equal Opportunity Employment, and Co-Chair of the San Francisco Collaborative Against Human Trafficking, with opening remarks delivered by Consul General Andy David. Among the over 200 attendees was the Acting United States Attorney for Northern California Brian Stretch, as well as representatives from Bay Area law enforcement, district attorney’s offices, and numerous activists and organizations collaborating on the fight against human trafficking.
